Hail: King Salman Specialist Hospital Launched Next Sunday

The Emir of Hail His Royal Highness Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, in the presence of the Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq Al Rabiah, will launch next Sunday the first phase of King Salman Specialist Hospital-Hail. On completion, the Hospital features a 500-bed capacity (valued at SR 500m). It also offers an outstanding added value and qualitative shift in health services across the Kingdom in general and Hail in particular. The hospital includes a number of specialized sections and clinics in different medical specialties.

This medical edifice comprises 4 floors, 55 clinics in 48 specialties, including oncology, cardiology, obesity, neurology, kidney...etc. It also includes ICU, burn, endoscopy, surgery, one-day surgery, physiotherapy, in addition to specialized and support service sections. This hospital is expected to increase available beds across the Affairs’ facilities and reduce outside referrals.

It is worth noting that Hail Affairs features 12 hospitals, 109 primary healthcare centers, as well as 5 specialized centers (cardiac, ophthalmology, dental, kidney, medical rehabilitation). Also, MoH has implemented a number of service programs, and launched quality initiatives which have helped enhance health services to citizens and boost performance across health facilities. In that vein, MoH's performance program (Adaa'), which aims to boost productivity, performance quality and efficiency of health services in hospitals, has achieved satisfactory results so far. The program is in line with the National Transformation Program 2020 towards achieving the Saudi Vision 2030. The program currently covers 70 hospitals and features over 40 indicators to measure the performance of seven key service aspects. The new Health System comes in line with the National Transformation Program to secure an added value, through enhancing health outcomes, ensuring access to health services, improving service-delivery modalities, in addition to offering integrated healthcare in compliance with adopted international standards".
