MOH Facilities Receive 360000 Patient Pilgrims, Conduct 16 Open-Heart Surgeries

The hospitals and specialized centers belonging to the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Makkah and Madinah have kept on providing the public and specialized health services (the third and fourth levels) for the pilgrims.
 
The MOH statistical statement highlighted that the hospitals and specialized centers in Makkah and Madinah have conducted during the period from 1/11/1434H (corresponding to 7/9/2013) to 10/12/1434H (corresponding to 15/10/2013) 16 open-heart surgeries for pilgrims, as well as 276 cardiac catheterization operations, 58 digestive endoscopy operations, and 947 dialysis sessions of both types (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis).
 
The statistical statement pointed out that some 3600141 pilgrims have visited the hospitals and health centers in Makkah, Madinah, and the other Holy Sites during the same period; given that the hospitals have rendered services for 530406 pilgrims, 370210 of them through outpatient clinics, while 160196 patients have benefited from the emergency and ambulance services.
 
Furthermore, the statement underscored that 3060735 pilgrims have benefited from the primary health care services in the health centers of Makkah, Madinah and the other Holy Sites during the same period.
 
In the same context, the statistical statement noted that some 20557 patient pilgrims were hospitalized in the various specialized departments within MOH hospitals in the pilgrimage areas, adding that 20182 patients have left the hospitals after receiving the necessary treatment.
 
Moreover, the statement highlighted that the number of inpatients within MOH hospitals in Makkah, Madinah, and the other Holy Sites till 10/12/1434H (corresponding to 15/10/2013) reaches 583 patients, noting that they are currently receiving the necessary remedial services.
 
Within the framework of specialized services offered to pilgrims, the MOH hospitals have received 10 pregnant women who came to perform the Hajj rites.
 
The MOH has also confirmed that the health status of the pilgrims is reassuring thankfully and there are no any epidemic or quarantine cases among them, adding that it has not recorded any case of the Novel Coronavirus till now.
 
On the other hand, the statistical statement reported that the number of those visited the clinics in the Mount Arafat hospitals yesterday 9/12/1434H (corresponding to 14/10/2013) reached 9278 patients, in addition to other 677 ambulatory cases; adding that the number of those admitted in the hospitals has reached 270 cases, while the number of those visited the health centers on Mount Arafat reached 25599 patients.
 
Moreover, the statement added that 19 dialysis sessions were conducted yesterday on Mount Arafat, along with other 2 binoculars, while the hospitals have received 14 cases suffering from heat exhaustion.
