Arafat Hospitals Are Fully Prepared for the Provision of Best Services for Pilgrims

   The MOH hospitals in Arafat have completed their preparations for the provision of the best healthcare service for the 'guests of Allah' on the Day of Arafah. Three hospitals have been set to work around the clock: Arafat General Hospital, Jabal Al-Rahma Hospital, Namira Hospital.
These three hospitals cover all medical specialties, disseminated to the sections of outpatient clinics, emergency, radiology and laboratory. All sections have been supplied with advanced medical equipment and devices. They are also staffed by medical and technical employees, highly qualified and well trained to work under such stressful circumstances, and treat patients speaking different languages.
It is worth mentioning that Arafat General Hospital covers all medical specialties, accommodating 300 beds, in addition to 28 intensive care beds and 12 emergency beds. Whereas Jabal Al-Rahma hospital is of a capacity of 140 beds, distributed to the different inpatient sections, in addition to 17 intensive care beds and 17 emergency beds. The total bed capacity of Namira Hospital, on the other hand, is 90 beds, in addition to 12 intensive care beds and 6 emergency beds.
Besides, the Ministry of Health has supplied the emergency sections of all hospitals with the needed equipment, in addition to the highly qualified staff, trained on emergency and medical evacuation plans in cases disasters. Safety procedures in all hospitals have been also ascertained, including emergency exits, smoke and heat detectors, as well as fire extinguishing media and alarms.
Moreover, the Ministry has established cooling and sunstroke units to address imperious cases of heat exhaustion and sunstrokes among pilgrims, inasmuch as it is expected, by the Meteorological Authority, that the Day of Arafah (falling on Saturday, 9/12/1432H) will be a hot day. Arafat General Hospital, furthermore, has been supported with an air cushion meant to receive emergency cases transmitted by evacuation vertical aircrafts, in coordination with the Red Crescent Authority, among other health sectors involved in the provision of healthcare services during Hajj.
As far as primary healthcare services are concerned, the Ministry of Health has prepared 46 health centers in Arafat, working around the clock on the Day of Arafah, aided by 6 other health centers in Muzdalifah.
