With The Addition of Ten New Hospitals to The Global Ranking, Saudi Hospitals Continue to Excel

The Saudi Ministry of Health has announced that ten Saudi hospitals have achieved remarkable positions in the prestigious 2025 “Newsweek” global ranking of the world’s best hospitals, compiled in collaboration with the data analysis platform “Statista”. 
This significant accomplishment highlights the ongoing success of the Kingdom’s health-sector transformation program, a core element of Saudi Vision 2030. The program is aimed at elevating the competitiveness of Saudi medical institutions to meet the highest international standards, enhancing healthcare quality, improving the efficiency of human resources, and integrating the latest medical technologies. The ranking reinforces Saudi Arabia's growing reputation as a leading global medical destination. 
In the 2025 edition, 40 hospitals from across Saudi Arabia, including both public and rapidly developing private-sector facilities, were recognized for their exceptional healthcare services. Leading the list is the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Riyadh, followed closely by Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital (DSFH) in Jeddah, and King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah. Other hospitals that featured prominently in the rankings include King Saud Medical City in Riyadh (4th), Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (5th), and King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh (6th). Other notable hospitals in the top 10 include King Fahd Medical City in Riyadh, King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Jeddah, King Abdulaziz Medical City in Jeddah, and the International Medical Center in Jeddah. The inclusion of 40 Saudi hospitals in the list, up from 34 the previous year, signifies a marked improvement and a testament to the transformation of the Kingdom’s healthcare system
On this occasion, the Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, said: “I am pleased to see more Saudi hospitals occupying a prominent position in this year’s ranking of the best hospitals in the world issued by Newsweek magazine. This achievement enhances the Kingdom’s position as a global destination for high-quality healthcare, and reflects the great development witnessed by the health sector in the Kingdom.” 
This achievement reflects the qualitative shift witnessed by the health sector in the Kingdom, and the continuous efforts of the health system to enhance the quality of medical care according to the highest international standards. This highlights the continuous investment in developing hospitals, raising the efficiency of medical personnel, and adopting the latest technologies to enhance the patient’s experience and improve the healthcare services provided.
The rankings were determined through feedback of over 85,000 medical experts worldwide, in addition to patient satisfaction data, healthcare quality indicators, and evaluations of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs).
