Seha Virtual Hospital and the Innovation Empowerment Center won ZIMAM Digital Health Award as the best business incubator for the safe ecosystem project (Sandbox) in the field of innovation in the Arab region for this year 2023, at the 6th GCC eHealth Workforce Conference, which was held in cooperation with HIMSS in Dubai.
This award aims to honor outstanding entities and start-up projects in the multidisciplinary fields of digital health, and this year included a new set of awards that address new digital health domains with special attention to industry and research.
The victory of Seha Virtual Hospital and the Innovation Empowerment Center comes as a result of the distinguished efforts exerted in providing virtual healthcare services, supporting and empowering innovators and health innovations. The virtual hospital is one of the priority initiatives of the health sector transformation program, and it is the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa. It is the largest in the world in terms of the number of hospitals associated with it.
It is noteworthy that the efforts of Sehha Virtual Hospital and the Innovation Empowerment Center come as a continuation of the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to utilize the latest medical technologies to make optimal use of the available medical services, which contributes to improving the quality of health services and raising the efficiency of performance in health facilities, in order to achieve the goals of the health transformation program in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
