Ambulance transportation in the Eastern Health Cluster (EHC) dealt with 1002 life-saving cases, in the first half of the current year 2023, to which it was responded in an average of only 12 minutes, compared to the target rate of 45 minutes.
The cluster indicated that the cases included road accidents, strokes, heart attacks, respiratory crises, organ rescue, births, epilepsy cases, in addition to bleeding cases, adding that the ambulance transport - in coordination along with air evacuation - served 50 cases; It received 31 cases and transferred 19 air evacuations.
It is worth noting that total cases dealt with in all the cluster facilities from January to June of this year 2023 reached 5869 emergency cases, as health care was provided according to approved medical levels to reach the patient as soon as possible from the nearest emergency point from 22 ambulance centers at the level of the eastern region.
It is worth noting that the Eastern Health Cluster consists of 22 hospitals and 131 primary health care centers.
