His Excellency the Minister of Health, Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jalajel, discussed with his Syrian counterpart, Dr. Hasan Al-Ghobash, aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the health sector. This came on the sidelines of His Excellency heading the Kingdom's delegation to the meeting of the 76th session of the World Health Assembly at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, held in the period from 21 to 30 May under the slogan "WHO at 75: Saving Lives, Leading Health for All." His Excellency the Saudi Minister of Health, Professor Fahd Al-Jalajel, welcomed Syria's return to the meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Health, which is the first ministerial meeting after Jeddah Summit, in which the Kingdom welcomed issuance of the Arab League's decision regarding resumption of participation of Syrian government delegations in the League of Arab States Council meetings, hoping that it will contribute in supporting the stability of Syria. The two sides discussed aspects of health cooperation in the wake of the devastating earthquake that claimed a number of lives, and strengthening joint Arab health work, which would preserve the health of Arab societies and contribute to protection of lives.
