Ministry of Health and its administrative offices in all regions and governorates of the Kingdom participated in the annual global event “Earth Hour”, in which the world interacts by turning off the lights for an hour on Saturday evening.
MOH stated that this event is organized by the Worldwide Fund for Nature, as it encourages individuals, communities, homeowners, and companies to turn off unnecessary lights and electronic devices, for one hour, from 8:30 to 9:30 - local time of the country - to raise awareness of the danger of climate change.
Ministry of Health emphasized the importance of participating in such global events that raise society's awareness of the need to rationalize consumption and use of electricity, to preserve safety of the environment and society from negative aspects of energy and economic waste as a result of excessive consumption.
