His Excellency the Minister of Health, Eng. Fahd Al-Jalajel, launched yesterday (Tuesday), the «Holo Doctor» Service for medical consultations. This service is provided, through visual communication technology, in cooperation with the Saudi Telecom Company (STC), to pilgrims during this year’s Hajj season. The service offers examination, diagnosis, and prescriptions, through direct communication with physicians of «Seha» Virtual Hospital in Riyadh.
His Excellency has extended his thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, may Allah protect them; for their keen interest in providing all means and capabilities to serve pilgrims and facilitate their performance of Hajj rituals in a comfortable and safe environment. Al-Jalajel highlighted that the Ministry of Health (MOH) has geared up early for this year’s Hajj season through an integrated system of the holy sites’ health facilities, which featured a group of hospitals, healthcare centers, and fully equipped ambulances, under the supervision of highly qualified medical, technical and administrative teams.
Al-Jalajel pointed out that many medical services offered within this service provided by «Seha» Virtual Hospital were linked with the holy sites’ hospitals; to provide the necessary medical support and assistance to pilgrims. Also, the hospital has been enhanced with integrated medical teams, under the supervision of consultants in many subspecialties, working around the clock in three main departments: virtual radiology, virtual stroke, and virtual intensive care.
The service uses a technology that enables the physicians of «Seha» Virtual Hospital to directly interact with the patient through a device at the airport; in terms of providing medical consultation and checking vital signs directly and quickly at the same moment.
