The first annual Saudi Geriatrics Society Conference started today under the auspices of the Ministry of Health (MOH). The 2-day virtual conference is held under the theme “Meeting Older Adults Health Care Challenges in the Era of COVID-19”, with the participation of an elite of local and international experts in the field of older adult health.
The conferences will review local and international health challenges facing older persons during the COVID-19 pandemic and will shed light on the main preventive and therapeutic procedures for the common diseases at this stage of life. It will also discuss the latest researches in the field of elderly health and enhancing quality of life, which is the core of elderly care.
It is worth mentioning that the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties has accredited the conference with 16 Continuing Medical Education hours (CME).
