Taif: 73,000+ Radiology Exams Performed by King Faisal Medical Complex in 6 Months

According to Taif Health Affairs, the Radiology Department of King Faisal Medical Complex, over the first half of this year, has conducted 73,097 radiological examinations at all units, x-ray, CT scan, MRI, HSG, ultrasound, osteoporosis, and mobile radiology.

It pointed out that the number of the X-ray examinations amounted to 41,402, MRI 3,446, CT scans 6,218, ultrasound 20,884, and osteoporosis 287 examinations, in addition to 107 nuclear medicine examinations, 349 mammography examinations, and 404 endoscopy examinations.

 It added that the complex’s radiology department has implemented a number of qualitative initiatives with the aim of improving and developing its services, including the initiative to reduce waiting times at the magnetic resonance unit; with an average rate of two days, as well as the initiative to add new examinations and services in interventional radiology and nuclear medicine.
