MOH Finishes the Project for the Development and Equipment of ICU at Asir Hospital

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has recently finished the initial receiving to the second phase of the Development Project for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Asir Central Hospital (with 36- bed capacity) and with a total cost of SR 61.298.205. The first phase (totaling 13 beds) had earlier been completed and operated after being allocated for cardiac care, while the second phase, which has currently been completed, amounted to 32 beds, and the work is currently underway for the sterilization of the section for operating it. The MOH also indicated that the project has been carried out in record time, which took only 120 days.
 
Within the same vein, the MOH underlined that the number of the ICU bed-capacity at Asir Central Hospital after the development project amounted to 63 beds, including 13 beds for cardiac care and 50 beds for ICU. Moreover, the MOH highlighted that this project will contribute – Allah Willing – to achieving a paradigm shift and quick response for those cases referred from peripheral hospitals in the region.
