The Meeting of Assistant Directors of Public Health in Regions and Provinces Came to an End in Riyadh

The Deputy Minister of Health for Public Health, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Saeed, discussed the recommendations of the 3-day meeting of the Assistant Directors of Public Health in the Kingdom’s regions and provinces, which was held recently in Jeddah.
 
During the meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of the Assistant Deputy Minister of Health for Primary Healthcare, Dr. Hisham bin Ibrahim Al-Khashshan, the work mechanism for the coming period was reviewed, with a view to improving the performance at health centers, in addition to the Ministry of Health's (MOH) projects related to the primary health care. 
 
The meeting also discussed the training programs for health centers' employees, including the expansion of family medicine centers, the diploma in family medicine for physicians, supportive supervision and follow-up of health centers and identifying performance indicators through a supervision form prepared for such purpose and applying them at health centers.  
 
Moreover, the meeting agenda discussed some topics, including quality, the accreditation of health centers in line with the standards of the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), as well as the development of health services provided for the citizens, through comprehensive consultation centers hiring consultants in family medicine and other medical specialties, in collaboration with hospitals in this field. Also the meeting underlined the importance of applying the electronic health programs to benefit from the information technology programs in the various health fields.
