Qatari Minister of Health: The Conference Reviews the most Significant Health Problems Concerning the Gulf Citizen

His Excellency the Qatari Minister of Public Health, Mr. Abdulla bin Khalid Al Qahtani, highlighted the importance of the issues to be tackled in the 78th Conference of the GCC Health Ministers Council, which will kick off in Riyadh tomorrow (Wednesday) to review the most important health issues concerning the Gulf citizen.
 
Meanwhile, Mr. Al Qahtani pointed out that the theme of the conference “Measuring Health Systems Performance: The Way to Excellence” is of great importance as it reflects the growing concern of GCC countries about the measuring of health systems performance as one of the most important tools of supporting decision-making and improving quality of healthcare.
 
He underlined the importance of the Riyadh Declaration to be signed during the conference with the aim of supporting health systems performance in the GCC countries, in a manner which ensures providing health services according to the best practices adopted worldwide.
 
Within the same vein, Mr. Al Qahtani expressed his thankfulness to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the hospitality and good organization of the conference. He also extended his thanks to His Excellency the Minister of Health, Mr. Ahmed Al-Khateeb, and the Executive Board of the GCC Health Ministers Council on the good preparation for the conference.
 
He also expressed his confidence the conference would come up with important decisions which will contribute to achieving more progress in the health services in the GCC countries, in a manner which meets aspirations of the Gulf citizens to enjoy advanced health services.
