Executive Board of the GCC Health Ministers Council to Convene Tomorrow in Riyadh

Riyadh will host tomorrow, Monday, 13th Rabei II, 1436H, the preparatory meeting of the Executive Board of GCC Health Ministers Council. The meeting is to discuss arrangements for the launch of the 40th session, and organizing the 78th Conference of the GCC Health Ministers Council, which will take place in Riyadh next Wednesday. The meeting will also review the conference program and agenda, in addition to determining speakers who will present topics before the ministers.
 
Moreover, the Executive Board meeting will touch upon a number of technical issues, in addition to completing discussion over the issues that emerged after the 81st meeting of the Executive Board, including supervision, financial and administrative control by the GCC Secretariat General, HealthCare and the proposal of the "Excellent performance Certificate".
 
On its part, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has geared up to host the 78th Conference of the GCC Health Ministers Council. Various topics are on the agenda, notably the fight against non-communicable diseases (NCD), cancer control, standards and regulations of cooperation with GCC health associations, anti-smoking, occupational health, Statistical Bulletin, health key performance indicators (KPIs), the scientific forum of the financial and administrative affairs. The meeting will also be tackling the issue of migrant workers (expats), and polio control, as well as electronic link between the information centers in the GCC countries and the Executive Board, and ways to develop the health information systems. Among the issues to be raised, also, are smart card, unified health procurement, and hospital supplies, the central pharmaceutical registration, in addition to administrative and regulatory affairs.
