MOH Warns Four Physicians in Hail and Fines a Health Practitioners in Tabuk

His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, has approved a decision by the Hail-based Medical Irregularities Committee warning four physicians at a MOH hospital in the province, pursuant to the Health Profession Practice Law; as they referred a neonatal from a hospital to another before his condition is stable and did not record his vital signs. In addition, they delayed in receiving the child at the emergency department, disregarding his health condition and his need for health care.
 
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Rabeeah has approved the decision of the Committee, assigned to consider the violations of the Health Profession Practice Law at Tabuk Health Affairs General Directorate, fining a health practitioner SR 20,000; as he rejected to accompany a patient referred to a hospital without giving statutory justification. The decision was taken pursuant to the Health Profession Practice Law.
 
Moreover, the decision included commissioning the Control and Internal Auditing General Department to follow up the performance and ensure the implementation of the statutory policies and procedures.
 
It is worth mentioning that these decisions reflect the MOH's continual efforts to improve the quality of its health facilities and monitor the performance of its employees; in an endeavor to ensure that the employees at healthcare facilities are working in concordance with the regulations and procedures. Besides, these decisions highlight the transparency pursued by the Ministry of Health (MOH) in dealing with all mass media, meanwhile, seeking to avoid any shortcomings at its facilities.
