MOH Is Working by Leaps and Bounds in Preparation for the Hajj Season

Yesterday, the fourth meeting of the Hajj Preparatory Committees was held under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Vice Minister of Health for Planning and Development, and chairman of the Hajj Preparatory Committees, Dr. Mohamed Khoshaim. The meeting was held at the MOH headquarter, and was attended by the members of those committees.
 
During the meeting, Dr. Khoshaim touched upon the latest preparations of the Hajj committees to take part in the MOH's Hajj plan for this year (1434H). In this vein, the preparations for expansion of the Makkah Sanctuary's circumambulation (Tawaf) has been discussed. The meeting, besides, endorsed the need to further and intensify work at emergency centers inside the Makkah Sanctuary, so as to work around the clock (24/7) in the course of the Hajj season.
 
For his part, the Supervisor General of the Hajj and Umrah Health Services, Dr. Hussein bin Abdullah Ghannam, pointed out that among the topics discussed during the meeting was that which had to do with hiring a number of therapeutic feeding specialists at the hospitals of the Holy Sites, as well as increasing the manpower in poison and forensic chemistry centers in Makkah and Madinah. That is to be added to reviewing workflow of Hajj-related health projects.
 
“The committee has also approved the program proposed by the Hajj and Umrah Health Services, namely: the Umrah Season Self-Employment Program,” said Dr. Ghannam. “The program is expected to satisfy all the demands and provide all the capabilities necessary for offering high-quality curative and preventive health services for Umrah pilgrims, as well as visitors of the Holy Sites all through the year.”
 
Within the same vein, and in continuation of the MOH's preparations for the Hajj season, a sum of SR 1000.000 has been allocated for non-medical renovation in Makkah Region.
