His Excellency the Vice Minister for Health Affairs, Dr. Mansour bin Nasser Al-Howasi, has conducted an inspection tour to a number of hospitals in Al-Ahsa governorate on Tuesday morning; in order to check on the workflow process. The tour included visiting a number of health facilities, in terms of visiting a number of inpatients infected with Corona virus, as well as following up the medical procedures and policies taken towards them. During his inspection tour, Dr. Al-Howasi has been briefed by the medical team on the mechanisms of dealing with the injured cases and those who contact them, in concordance with the internationally recognized clinical procedures, and in line with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO).
Furthermore, His Excellency has been briefed on the health situation all over the governorate; the total examined cases, the impounded cases, the epidemiological surveillance status in the governorate, in addition to the actions taken by Al-Ahsa Health Directorate and the MOH enhancements and support.
Moreover, Dr. Al-Howasi visited the medical supportive services sections, in order to stand on their situation, including the medical laboratories, radiology and other sections, where he watched a scientific showcase on the health status in the governorate, the medical policies and procedures that have been taken. It is noteworthy that these policies and procedures have been prepared by the MOH support team, headed by the Director of Infection Control, Dr. Abdullah Asiri and the Assistant Director General of Health Affairs in the Public Health, Dr. Zaki Abdullatief.
Within the same visit, Dr. Al-Howasi has met with His Highness the Governor of Al-Ahsa, Prince Badr bin Muhammad bin Jalawi Al Saud, and briefed him on the health situation in the governorate. He also reviewed the medical policies and procedures that have been taken by the ministry in the province.
During this inspection tour, His Excellency was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Public Health Dr. Ziad Memish, the Director General of the Infectious Diseases Control, Dr. Ra’fat Hakim and a number of officials inAl-Ahsa Health Affairs Directorate.
