HE Minister of Health Opens Seminar “Health Services Provided by the Ministry of Health: Current Reality and Future Aspirations”
 
On Tuesday morning, 10\5\2011, HE the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Rabeeah, will open a seminar entitled: “Health Services Provided by the Ministry of Health: Today’s Reality and Aspirations for the Future.”This seminar is being organized by the Public Administration Institution, and is taking place at the Ibn Khaldon Conference Hall at Prince Salman Centre in Riyadh. 
 
The Ministry of Health’s Spokesman, Dr. Khaled Bin Mohammed Marglani , said that the purpose of the seminar is to highlight the current state of health services in the Ministry, and to address MOH’s challenges and identify possible solutions.
   
Dr. Marglani explained that the seminar will cover a number of other important topics as well, including: customer satisfaction for MOH services, the government’s role in developing health services, the application of quality standards in hospitals and their impact on enhancing health services and the training and development of health service workers.  Challenges faced by the MOH will be also discussed during the seminar, along with the many organizational, legislative and financial issues faced by hospitals and government bodies.  

 Dr.  Marglani added that the Ministry will introduce a number of significant reports during the seminar, including: “Health Service Status in the Kingdom,”“Future Outlook for Healthcare Strategies,”“King Fahd Medical City’s Experiment in Developing Health Services and Applying Quality Standards” and “Impact on Developing Health Services.”  These presentations will be introduced by MOH Deputy Minister for Planning and Development Dr. Mohammed Bin Hamza Khoshaim ,  the Secretary General of the Health Services Council, Dr. Yacoub Bin Yousef AL Mazrua, the General Executive Manager of King Fahd Medical City, Dr. Abdullah Bin Suleiman, and the Manager of Quality Control at King Saud Medical City, Dr. Saif Shodri.
    
The first session will be headed by the Executive Manager of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, Dr. Mohammed Bin Ahmed Al Kunhal, and will discuss the current status of MOH’s health services. The second session will be headed by the General Manager of Executive Health Affairs at the National Guard Hospital and General Supervisor of the Royal Clinic, Dr. Bander Bin Abdul Mohsin Al Qanawi; this session will discuss methods to develop health services. Dr. Salah Bin Moath Al Mayouf, Deputy Manager of the Institute of Public Administration, will discuss recommendations during the closing session.
