Al-Mane meets American Heart Association President

The Minister of Health Dr. Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Mane has met in his office at the MOH headquarters the president of the American Heart Association Dr. Dag Wever.
 
The meeting reviewed the ways of cooperation between Saudi heart specialists, represented by the Saudi Heart Association and American heart specialists, represented by the American Heart Association. The two parties discussed also the ways for exchanging practical and theoretical experiences as well as participation in international heart conferences held in the two countries.
 
On his part, the manager of Prince Salman Center for Heart Medicine and Surgery Dr. Mustafa Adel Yousef, said an agreement had been concluded between the two parties, whereby the American Heart Association shall deliver special lectures to the Saudi physicians participating in its basic meeting in USA, which will be attended by 20,000 heart physicians from all over the world.
 
He said it had also been agreed that the American Heart Association, MOH, and relative health sectors in the Kingdom shall assist in establishing programs for preliminary prevention of heart diseases and setting high standards for treatments provided to heart patients.
 
The meeting has been attended by the assistant deputy minister for therapeutic medicine, the assistant deputy minister for preventive medicine, the director general for relations and health information, and the president of the American Heart Association.
 
Dr. Dag Wever then paid a visit to the Prince Salman Center for Heart Medicine and Surgery and the Center of Neurological Sciences at King Fahad Medical City, where he reviewed service provision and medical equipment. ​
