King appreciates late Arab health ministers meeting

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz has extended his gratitude to the Minister of Health Dr. Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Mane on the occasion of the successful emergency meeting of the Arab ministers of health in Riyadh on 16/01/2009.
 
"While we are deeply thankful to you and to the Arab ministers of health and accompanying delegations, we would like to confirm our commitment to do whatever we can to support the Palestinian people", he said.
 
On another hand, Dr. Al-Mane expressed his sincere appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for approving the meeting to be held in Riyadh, which symbolizes the Kingdom's everlasting devotion towards the Palestinian cause.
 
The Riyadh Declaration issued by the Arab ministers of health included a number of points relative to the health situation of the Palestinian people, including setting an Arabic plan for meeting future requirements in the occupied territories and Gaza Strip, formation of a committee for emergency Arabic health priorities, and execution of a media campaign for obtaining worldwide support. The conference also called for coordination with WHO for prompt intervention and provision of necessary medical teams and supplies.
