World Immunization Week is a global observance held annually to highlight the vital role of vaccines in protecting individuals and communities from infectious diseases and reducing their spread.
Immunization programs help prevent serious diseases, reduce mortality, strengthen health systems, and improve quality of life across all stages of life.
Objectives:
- Increase public awareness of the role of immunization in preventing diseases and protecting public health.
- Build confidence in vaccines, correct misconceptions, and promote evidence-based health decisions.
- Highlight immunization as one of the most effective public health interventions for preventing disease outbreaks.
- Support the implementation of programs and initiatives that promote the importance of immunization.
