Overview:
The Saudi Home Health Care Day aims to get all community members be acquainted with the home health care services, their eligible groups, and how to apply or register for them according to specific standards and work mechanisms.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Health (MOH) provides
Home Health Care Services through qualified medical teams at several hospitals and medical cities across the Kingdom. These services are provided to patients with the engagement of their families as per approved standards. Also, these services are not limited to the elderly, but cover other groups,
including:
- Caring for patients with chronic diseases
- Intravenous therapy services
- Caring for patients with bedsores
- Caring for enteral nutrition patients
- Palliative care
- Physiotherapy services
- Caring for urinary catheterization patients
- Non-ambulatory transportation
- Laboratory tests
- Psychological and social support
- Delivery of medicines and medical supply to patients
- Educating patients and their families
- Delivery of supplements
