Overview:

Obesity is a chronic disease that affects more than two billion people in the world and is a very important risk factor for many chronic diseases. Obesity is one of the biggest health problems in the world. This disease must be addressed, as it is a social responsibility that includes radical solutions in terms of prevention, treatment, and attention to a healthy lifestyle.

 

Facts:

• Obesity is an excessive accumulation of body fat, which may harm an individual's health.

• An individual becomes obese as a result of an imbalance between the calories he consumes and the calories he eats.

• The environment and society are fundamental to determining people's choices and preventing them from obesity.

• A child's choices, diet, and physical activity are affected by the environment surrounding them.

• Physical activity is important to maintain a healthy weight.

 

Health Day Objectives:

• Raising health awareness among individuals in society about the causes and risks of obesity and ways to prevent it.

• Raising health awareness of the importance of following a healthy lifestyle.

• Highlighting the importance of taking preventive measures to combat obesity, to cooperate and contribute to finding solutions to reduce the risks of obesity.​
