The unique features of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the MOH, eHealth leading practices, benchmarks and lessons from other jurisdictions were combined to develop a set of guiding principles for the eHealth Strategy:
These principles, coupled with detailed analysis of the very unique characteristics of healthcare delivery in the Kingdom, have enabled us to deliver a realistic strategy and roadmap, which reflects specific demands such as: being the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques; the vast geography to be served; the wide disparity in existing technology; the large ex-pat component in the workforce; the ambitious MOH Plans to transform healthcare delivery.
