Acting Minister of Health: A Notable Decrease in Corona Incidence Rates

His Excellency the Acting Minister of Health, Eng. Adel bin Muhammad Faqih, has confirmed that the Ministry of Health (MOH) has been cautiously dealing with the current decrease in Coronavirus rates in the Kingdom; as he pointed out that there is a notable decline in Corona incidence rates during the past days.
 
This remark came during an inspection visit the Minister paid on Sunday afternoon to Ajyad Hospital and the health centres in the Holy Mosque area as well as the Jeddah-based central laboratory in Makkah. 
 
Eng. Faqih pointed out that the Ministry of Health has provided hospitals and health facilities at the Holy Mosque area, such as Ajyad Emergency Hospital and the different health centers, with all equipment and medical apparatus necessary for sterilization, isolation rooms and intensive care units.  The Minister noted that his ministry has provided other necessary equipments to accelerate the process of curbing the prevalence of any infection among pilgrims and visitors - Allah forbid.
 
During his visit to Ajyad Hospital, the Acting Minister of Health inspected the emergency rooms of men and women, the intensive care units, and the cardiac care units. He listened to a detailed presentation by the Director of Makkah Health Affairs about health services offered to pilgrims and visitors and the health facilities providing such services inside the Holy Mosque areas. Eng. Faqih urged health professionals to exert their utmost efforts to provide medical healthcare for pilgrims and visitors.
 
It is worth mentioning that the total number of beds in the Holy Capital city of Makkah is 1,836 beds, while there are 151 intensive care units beds and 278 emergency beds. There are nine hospitals and 86 health centres. Ajyad Hospital includes 52 emergency beds.
