His Excellency the Minister of Health, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, and His Excellency the Chairman of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), Dr. Khalid Al-Mehaisen, will inaugurate tomorrow, Sunday, February 7th, 2016 (corresponding to Rabie Al-Akher 28th, 1437H) a symposium under the title: “The Role of the Health Sector in Promoting Integrity and Fighting Corruption” in Riyadh. The symposium will be organized by the National Anti-Corruption Commission, in collaboration with the Saudi Health Council (SHC).
The opening ceremony of the symposium includes a speech by the Minister of Health and another one by the NACC Chairman. Then, the first session, under the title: “The Role of the Health Sector in Promoting Integrity and Fighting Corruption”, will be chaired by the Deputy Chairman of NACC for Integrity Protection, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Abdulqader. The first session will comprise a speech by the Secretary-General of SHC, Dr. Yaqoub Al-Mazrou under the title: “The Role of the SHC in Enacting the Health Sector Regulations Contributes to Promoting Integrity and Fighting Corruption” and a speech by the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), Dr. Muhammad bin Abdullrahman Al-Meshal under the title: “The Supervisory Role of SFDA to Provide Excellent Services for Health Protection and Promotion”, in addition to speech by the Secretary-General of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS), Prof. Abdulaziz bin Hassan Al-Saiegh under the title: “The Role of Health Professional Ethics and Regulation Guide in Promoting Integrity and Fighting Corruption”.
As for the second session under the title: “The Developmental Proposals and Opinions of Health Sector's Specialists on the Supervisory, Financial and Administrative Systems”, it will be chaired by the Chairman of the Health Committee of the Shura Council (Majlis as-Shura), Dr. Abdullah bin Zaban Al-Otaibi. During this session, the Secretary-General of the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI), Mr. Muhammad bin Suleiman Al-Hussain, will give a speech under the title: “Contribution of Health Insurance Sectors to Promoting Integrity Values and Fighting Corruption in Community”. Besides, the session will comprise a speech by the Director General of the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), Dr. Salem bin Abdullah Al-Wahhabi under the tilte: “Implementing the Standards of Accreditation of the Health Institutions and their Role in Promoting Integrity and Fighting Corruption” and another speech by the Director General of the MOH Legal Affairs, Mr. Muhammad bin Ali Al-Dosary under the title: “Updating Supervisory, Financial and Administrative Systems and their Role in Promoting Integrity and Fighting Corruption”.
