Dr. Qadeer: The Eastern Arafat Hospital Is Fully Ready to Receive Patients

The Director of the Eastern Arafat Hospital, Dr. Bandar Qadeer, said that the hospital comprises several departments; such as the emergency department which includes 25 beds for newcomers, 3 beds for cardiopulmonary resuscitation, 23 beds for sunstroke, 17 beds for cooling, and 5 beds for post-cooling.
 
In addition, Dr. Qadeer noted that the hospitalization department comprises 54 beds for the men's department, 38 beds for the women's department, 5 rooms for isolation, and 4 single rooms.
 
Within the same vein, Dr. Qadeer added that the intensive care unit includes 48 beds and 4 isolation rooms. On the other hand, the outpatient department comprises 21 clinics, including two clinics for dressing wounds, in addition to two 3-bed rooms equipped with the latest surgical devices, and a maternity room which is fully equipped for the urgent needs.
 
Dr. Qadeer confirmed that the hospital comprises two dialysis units with the latest devices.
 
Dr. Qadeer also highlighted that the number of delegated staff is more than 400 employees, including consultants, specialists, residents, nursing technicians, nursing specialists, and technicians in radiation, anesthetization, operations, pharmaceutics and laboratory.
 
In addition, Dr. Qadeer pointed out that the preparations for this year are complementary to the achievements of the last year; noting that the General Hospital was established in 1433H with the latest devices. Then, it passed by several stages of development and equipment.
 
Currently, the hospital gets ready to provide the best curative services and to face all emergency cases, thanks to its variant departments. Dr. Qadeer affirmed that such a medical edifice is the fruit of high-level planning and equipment.
 
Meanwhile, Dr. Qadeer stressed that the Ministry of Health (MOH) has harnessed all its medical and ambulatory services for the pilgrimage season of this year, noting that the emergency departments have been equipped with the needed medical equipments, in addition to the well-qualified nursing cadres; so that the department becomes ready to receive the emergency cases among pilgrims.
 
In addition, Dr. Qadeer stated that the Ministry has trained all the medical teams working in emergency departments, as well as the rapid intervention medical teams. Also, the MOH has supplied the intensive care units, operation rooms, and internal departments with the modern instruments and equipments, as well as their medical requirements.
 
Dr. Qadeer added that the hospital provides high-quality healthcare for patients, as it serves the pilgrims during the Hajj season, which occupies the top of our priorities. For that reason, the workers do their best to improve the services quality through achieving balance between the needs and expectations of patients, and the available medical capabilities.
 
The hospital also seeks to provide more health services in the rare specialties by using the latest scientific and technological methods, as well as the finest human cadres.
 
In conclusion, Dr. Qadeer expressed his thanks and gratitude for all staff due to their great efforts in serving and maintaining the safety of patients, praying for Almighty Allah to reward them.
