Global Health Exhibition: Saudi Arabia’s Bold Leap Toward a Health-Driven Future
10 July 2025

Amid Saudi Arabia’s accelerating efforts to become a global hub for healthcare and innovation, the Global Health Exhibition stands as a flagship achievement of the Kingdom’s Health Sector Transformation Program, one of the key pillars of Vision 2030. Spearheaded by the Ministry of Health, the event has rapidly gained international prominence as one of the fastest-growing and most investment-attracting healthcare exhibitions worldwide.
The 2023 and 2024 editions marked a transformative phase in Saudi Arabia’s health landscape, establishing the exhibition as a vibrant interactive platform for global collaboration. With landmark partnerships and dozens of agreements signed in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and the localization of health industries, Riyadh has emerged as a premier investment destination for healthcare policymakers, tech firms, and global investors.
The 2024 edition alone drew over 105,000 visitors, with international attendees comprising 72% of the total, arriving on more than 13,500 flights. Across both editions, the exhibition hosted 605+ speakers, 1,540 brands and exhibitors from over 70 countries, alongside 1,000+ investors and 60 startups.
Announced investments and deals at the exhibition exceeded SAR 50 billion, spanning localized pharmaceutical manufacturing, healthcare infrastructure expansion, digital transformation, and strategic projects such as insulin production localization in partnership with NUPCO and global giants Sanofi and Novo Nordisk. Saudi healthcare groups also executed several high-profile acquisitions across the Kingdom.
Held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in Malham, the 2024 edition featured five specialized platforms: Leaders’ Summit, Medical Excellence Forum, Digital Health Forum, in addition to dozens of workshops and CME programs, demonstrating the exhibition’s growing role as a strategic convergence point for healthcare and investment.
The 2023 edition, themed “Invest in Health”, spotlighted preventive care, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology. It also offered 30+ hours of CME-accredited content and eight specialized scientific tracks, and marked the launch of “Nphies”, a national platform designed to boost operational efficiency across the healthcare system.
The event’s impact earned recognition from the Council of Ministers, with Health Minister H.E.Fahad AlJalajel expressing deep gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for their continued leadership and support, cementing the exhibition’s status as a symbol of national healthcare transformation.
Now, the Ministry of Health is preparing to host the 8th edition of the Global Health Exhibition from October 27–30, 2025, again at the Riyadh Exhibition Center. Expectations are high for this to be the largest edition yet in terms of international participation, collaboration, and investment.
More than a slogan, this year’s theme—“Invest in Health”—represents a bold national and global call to reimagine healthcare as an economic engine, a developmental pillar, and a competitive global industry.
As the Kingdom advances in key areas such as medical tourism, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and digital health solutions, the exhibition will present new opportunities for private sector engagement, with projections indicating the sector’s contribution to healthcare GDP may exceed SAR 145 billion by 2030.
With the participation of global health leaders, investors, innovators, and thought leaders, the upcoming edition promises to be a strategic platform for shaping the future of health, telling a Saudi success story that is fast becoming a global model for healthcare transformation.
