MOH: 100M E-Appointments Booked for over 25M Beneficiaries Since 2017
16 December 2021

According to the Ministry of Health (MOH), 100 million e-appointments were booked for more than 25 million beneficiaries through over 2,000 facilities, since the online appointment service was launched in 2017. The highest number of appointments recorded in one day reached 200,000, it added.

It is an electronic service provided by MOH to enable patients to book their appointments across primary health care centers and manage them by canceling or rescheduling as well as managing their referral appointments at any hospital via a smartphone application. The Ministry aims to invest in modern technologies to enhance communication with the beneficiaries of its services. It also aims to help the beneficiary to find the nearest healthcare center, to remind him about the appointment and alert him if an earlier appointment is available, to manage other referral appointments at hospitals, and to book and manage appointments for dependents. The service covers all regions of the Kingdom.

Noteworthy, MOH has launched a number of quality service programs to develop work mechanisms and to boost performance. This will in turn help improve health services provided to citizens and secure their satisfaction.
