The Ministry of Health (MOH) has underlined that the COVID-19 vaccines approved in the Kingdom are safe and effective to prevent the infection with the virus and its complications, Allah Willing, highlighting that these vaccines are approved by competent authorities after meeting the highest safety and security standards, as well as achieving the high level of effectiveness and safety.
Hence, MOH has reiterated the importance of adherence to precautionary measures, including wearing face-masks, maintaining physical distancing, sterilizing hands, and avoiding shaking hands; to the spread of the virus for the health and safety of everyone.
According to MOH's latest statistics, 1,098 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the Kingdom; thus bringing the total number to 508,521 confirmed cases, including 10,905 active cases, and 1,386 critical cases.
In addition, 1,207 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total number to 489,553 recoveries. Also, 15 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 8,063, May Allah bestow His mercy upon them.
