MOH Publishes Introductory Infographic on Benefits of Drinking Water
06 January 2021

According to the Ministry of Health (MOH), dry skin is a common condition in cold and dry climates, especially in desert regions during winter. In many cases, dry skin is caused by exposure to environmental factors, whether partial or total exposure. These factors include exposure to hot or cold climates along with low humidity levels or showering too much.

Through an introductory infographic published on its Twitter page and its awareness platform: # Live Well, MOH underlined the importance of drinking water when showing any symptoms of dehydration and advised everyone to eat water-rich foods such as fruits and vegetables and keep drinking enough water. It pointed out that water is free of sugars and calories, and is cheap and healthy.

It defined dehydration and inadequate water intake as the body loses more fluid than it takes in, pointing out that the risk factors for not drinking enough water include fever, diarrhea, vomiting, excessive sweating and frequent urination.

This step comes as a part of MOH's efforts to maintain the health and safety of all community members, to promote health awareness and to urge individuals to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
