Over 52,000 Emergencies Served by Namerah General Hospital Last Year

Namerah General Hospital has served 52,707 emergencies and 13,541 outpatients over the past year. The hospital has also performed 42,161 lab tests, 15,194 radiology examinations, and 232 surgeries.


Over the same period, the hospital (with a 50-bed capacity) has witnessed a number of development projects and qualitative initiatives, such as an ICU inauguration, a medicine home delivery service amid Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, as well as launching «Tetamman» and virtual clinics.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Health (MOH) has recently enhanced Namerah General Hospital with a number of specialized medical teams, and linked the CT scanner to the Picture Archiving and Communication (PACS) System in Al-Qunfudhah General Hospital; to request consultations and read medical reports. Also, MOH has developed the laboratory department and blood banks, and equipped the microbiology department, in addition to operating a blood separation unit. Besides, the pharmaceutical care department has provided more than 65 drug consultations to patients.
