MOH: 700,000+ People Registered for COVID-19 Vaccine

​More than 700,000 people from the priority groups have registered to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdulaali, Assistant Minister of Health and MOH spokesman announced on Sunday. He said the turnout of both citizens and residents who registered to get the vaccine is on the rise, which reflects the high level of awareness among community members. He reaffirmed that registration will be on stages and available for all members of the community.​

During the press conference he held today (Sunday), he said until now it has not been proven that this mutation affects the severity of the virus, or negatively affects the effectiveness of the vaccine.

He pointed out that our commitment to preventive measures protects us from the recently observed mutations and all other mutations, stressing the importance of avoiding gatherings.
Al-Abdulaali revealed that 154 new confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom; thus bringing the total number to 362,220 confirmed cases, including 2,856 active cases, receiving the necessary medical care. Of these, there are 391 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable. In addition, 175 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total recoveries to 353,179 cases, all praise is due to Allah. Also, 9 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 6,185, May Allah bestow His mercy upon them. 

The health services are still provided through all MOH’s facilities, with 5,823,020 Molecular Diagnostic Tests «Swab Tests» at Make Sure «Taakkad» Centers, 1,732,488 patients were served at Rest Assured «Tetamman» Clinics, in addition to offering medical consultations via 937-Service Center to 10,872,920 beneficiaries, he added.
