The National Tobacco Control Committee (NTCC) has signed a community partnership agreement with the coordination committee of Anti-Smoking Charitable Associations, to cooperate in monitoring anti-smoking violations, purchasing smoking cessation services, and raising awareness of its hazards. His Excellency the Minister of Health and Head of NTCC, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, highlighted the importance of to eliminate the scourge of tobacco, underscoring the importance of protecting young people from its harms. According to the last statistics disseminated by the World Health Organization (WHO), the number of tobacco users is more than one billion persons around the world.
