The Mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit, announced that about 130 Ministry of Health employees had been approved to receive a variety of medical field scholarships to German universities and institutions.This statement came during the February 27th meeting between the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Rabeeah, and his senior officials with the Mayor and his delegation at the Ministry headquarters in Riyadh.
Mayor Wowereit emphasized the importance of promoting the healthcare relationship between German universities and institutions and the Saudi Ministry of Health.
Among the subjects discussed at the meeting were scholarship and training opportunities. The German delegation is also willing to launch a Visiting Doctors Program in the Kingdom's hospitals, develop an E-health Program for the Ministry, collaborate in operating hospitals and exchange expertise in conducting medical searches. At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Health and the Mayor exchanged souvenirs.
