MOH Launches RFQ for PPP Radiology and Medical Imaging Services Pilot

​​​The Ministry of Health (MOH) announces the launch of the Request for Qualification (RFQ) for the radiological services project pilot. The project is intended to supply and operate radiological services and medical nuclear imaging services efficiently in addition to increasing the efficiency and utilization of existing radiology facilities. MOH will qualify individual operators or consortium operators, to execute the project. This PPP is expected to establish the first remote radiological operation and reading service ​serving targeted hospitals in a seamless network where King Fahad Medical City acts as the focal point.


The PPP pilot project includes three hospitals in Riyadh which are King Fahad Medical City, Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Hospital, Al Yamamah Hospital besides King Khalid Hospital in Al-Majma’a, Al Dwadmi Hospital, Al Zulfi Hospital and Al Artawiya Hospital.

The radiological imaging PPP project was the first PPP launched by the MOH through the VRO supported by the National Center for Privatization and PPP (NCP). The Expression of Interest (EOI) for the radiological services and medical imaging was launched on April 29, 2019, and continued to July 1, 2019.

Interested bidder can send their requests to radiology-pilot@moh.gov.sa between 25 October 2020 to 4:30pm on 06 December 2020.
