Overview:
Myopia Awareness Week aims to raise awareness about this common vision problem worldwide. Myopia, also known as nearsightedness, is a condition that makes distant objects blurry. Myopia appears in early childhood and continues to worsen until the age of 18. The condition particularly affects children, who are at increased risk of developing other eye health problems if not managed early. The campaign aims to raise awareness about prevention and how to slow the progression of myopia through early screening and outdoor activities.
Objectives:
- Urging the community to the importance of examination and treatment.
- Educating the community against complications of myopia.
- Knowledge of myopia causes.
