Current Position: Vice Minister of Health for Planning and Development, grade "Excellent".

  • M.Sc. in Computer & Information Networks - Telecommunications Engineering, University of Essex, U.K, 2002.
  • B.Sc. in Computer Engineering - Computer Engineering Dept., King Saud University, KSA, 1998.
Employment History: 
He had worked in many consulting and health agencies, including:
  • Deputy Minister of Health for E-Health until 2022.
  • Co-Founder and Managing Director for Health and Public Services at Accenture International Limited, from 2018 to 2021.
  • Executive Director of Information and Health Informatics Services in Health Affairs at the National Guard Health Affairs until 2018. 
  • Vice President of Saudi Association for Health Informatics until 2013.
-Chairman and member of a number of councils and committees, including:
  • Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lean Business Services.
  • Member of MOH’s Executive Committee.
  • Member of MOH’s Strategy Committee.  
  • Chairman of “Sehhaty” App Committee

Professional Experience:
  • He has vast experiences in planning and management of initiatives and strategic projects and a biography full of successes, achievements and great efforts over more than 20 years.
  • Utilizing his experiences, he contributed to giving a greater role to technology to facilitate access to health services, and to help providing high-quality healthcare services.
  • He effectively contributed to the development of technical services to facilitate the management of the Coronavirus pandemic by introducing a set of electronic services linked with the relevant authorities.
  • Since 2021, he worked as Deputy Minister of Health for E-Health & Digital Transformation, and in charge of e-health services and initiatives and digital transformation for MOH and its affiliates.
  • From 2018 to 2021, he was a Partner and General Manager of Accenture International, he contributed significantly to the development of the company and expansion of strategic and management consulting services, infrastructure projects and digital transformation in the Middle East.
  • He worked as Executive Director of the Health Information and Informatics Service in Health Affairs of the Ministry of National Guard from 2013 to 2018; he contributed significantly to the planning and implementation of digital transformation initiatives, and the implementation of the electronic health file program (Best Care) in all health affairs’ hospitals.
  • He assumed several leadership positions in the health affairs of the Ministry of National Guard from 1998 to 2013, including the position of Deputy Executive Director, Director of Information Technology Infrastructure, and Director General of Information Networks.
Achievements:
  • Contributed to fighting the Coronavirus pandemic through provision of vaccine services, expanded examination and virtual care through the “Sehhaty” App.
  • Supported digital integration with Tawakkalna and planning and developing the electronic health record project.
  • Contributed to the planning and launching of the National Platform for Health Information Exchange Services (NPHIES), as well as several national platforms such as National Referral Program and Epidemiological Surveillance Program «HESN+».
  • Worked on the restructure of the digital infrastructure of all the Ministry's systems, and completion of planning and designing for business continuity and moving to the cloud.
  • Worked efficiently in the fields of data, modern technologies, strategic planning, and financial and administrative planning.
