MOH Fines Two Pharmacies SR 75.000
His Excellency the Minster of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, approved the decision of the Private Health Institutions' Violations Consideration Committee at Riyadh Health Affairs General Directorate, to fine the owner of a pharmacy SR 75.000, as well as closing the pharmacy for 60 days; due to the absence of the licensed staff at the pharmacy, thus violating Article 37 of the Pharmaceutical Installations and Products Law and its Regulations. Besides, the Pharmacist has been referred to the Health Practitioners Commission; in order to issue the appropriate penalty against him.
 
Within the same vein, Dr. Al-Rabeeah approved another decision for the same Committee fining the owner of another pharmacy in Riyadh SR 50.000, in addition to closing the pharmacy; due to the expiry of its license, as well as allowing the pharmacist to work before obtaining the statutorylicense, thus violating Article 37 of the Pharmaceutical Installations and Products Law and its Regulations.
 
The MOH emphasized that it would take all the statutory procedures, including the cautionary closure, towards any health institution that does not comply with the required quality standards of health services; in an endeavor to oblige such institutions to improve their conditions and redress all irregularities observed there, pursuant to the statutory procedures.
