Minister of Health to Fine a Pharmacy SR 40 Thousand Due to a Spate of Irregularities
His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah has approved of fining a pharmacy affiliated to a famous medical company in Riyadh with SR 40,000, by virtue of Article (37) of the Law of Private Health Installations, Pharmaceutical Products and its Executive Regulations.

It is noteworthy that a competent committee of the Private Health Sector Affairs Department at Riyadh Health Affairs General Directorate has inspected the said pharmacy, and has detected and has recorded a spate of irregularities, including obtaining the pharmaceutical license for another pharmacy rather than for which they work, as well as practicing the profession with an expired license. Thus, the irregularity has been considered and adjudicated by virtue of Article (25/3L) of the Law of Private Health Installations and its Executive Regulations. Having been finalized, the sentence is to be published in three local newspapers at the expense of the law-breaker. Furthermore, the pharmacist for which they work has been referred to the Health Practitioners Commission; in order to issue the appropriate penalty against him.
