2020-07-07-0001.jpgThrough an awareness infographic published on its educational platform «Live Well» via Twitter, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has pointed out that home isolation is recommended for people who develop COVID-19 symptoms irrespective of lab tests, while home quarantine is applicable to all such contacts of a confirmed case and show no symptoms irrespective of lab tests.

In this regard, MOH has answered some inquiries about a father with COVID-19, and after seven days, his son got infected too and showed symptoms. How many days should they isolate themselves? What about the rest of the family? How many days do they quarantine themselves? MOH has answered these inquiries, highlighting that the father should isolate himself since the onset of symptoms for ten days, while the rest of the family members should quarantine themselves for 14 days. As for the son, he should stay at home for 10 days from the onset of symptoms, regardless of the original 14-day quarantine period. Also, MOH has underlined that people showing COVID-19 symptoms can come out of isolation at least 3 days after these symptoms disappear.
