MOH Saves Syrian Lady’s Life, Enables Her to Perform Hajj
10 July 2022
According to the Ministry of Health (MOH), an integrated, professional team of Makkah Health Cluster has successfully managed to save a Syrian lady at the end of her forties. She has been suffering from a sudden and severe headache with frequent vomiting; due to a huge rupture in the left carotid artery of the brain.

The patient was admitted to Mina Al-Jisr Hospital, while suffering from a sudden and severe headache with frequent vomiting. After due medical examinations and CT scans, she was diagnosed with brain aneurysm.

Then, urgent coordination was made to refer the patient to King Abdullah Medical City, and put her on a ventilator. The medical history did not show any head trauma, or any anticoagulants, or heart diseases except hypothyroidism, for which she takes 50 micrograms of thyroid hormone daily. A CT scan was performed again on her brain at the City, which showed the presence of bleeding caused by a huge rupture in the left carotid artery of the brain.

The medical team had treated the carotid cerebral arterial rupture through a4-hour surgery, which has been crowned with success and the patient has recovered with noticeable improvement, by Allah’s Grace.

MOH pointed out that that medical coordination has been carried out to enable the lady to stand at Jabal Arafat (Mount Arafat), and complete the performance of her Hajj rituals, within the campaign of King Abdullah Medical City in an ambulance accompanied by neurosurgery and ICU consultants. Then, she returned safely to the ICU after completing her rituals, meanwhile praying to Allah for the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for helping her to perform her pilgrimage, the matter which wouldn’t have occurred, unless Allah encompasses her with His Mercy and Grace through MOH’s Heroes.
