According to the Ministry of Health, since early Dhul-Qi’dah until yesterday (Friday), the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah 1443H, the hospitals and healthcare centers (HCCs) in Makkah, Arafat, Muzdalifah, Mina, Jamaraat, and Taif have provided their various therapeutic services to 78,433 pilgrims.
The hospitals and HCCs have performed 8 open-heart surgeries, 155 cardiac catheters, 345 dialysis, 10 endoscopies, and 230 surgeries, in addition to serving 732 inpatient pilgrims. Also, «Seha» Virtual Hospital has participated in providing a number of virtual services, including: 8 cases of stroke diagnosis, one remote critical care case, and 70 remote radiology cases, in addition to 1,859 beneficiaries of immediate consultation services, via «Sehhaty» App., until the end of Dhul-Hijjah 9th, 1443H.
It is noted that MOH has geared up affiliated health facilities to provide their therapeutic services for pilgrims in Makkah, Madinah, and the Holy Sites during the 1443H.-Hajj season. MOH has fully equipped 23 hospitals, 147 HCCs, and enhanced them with a 4,654-bed capacity, including 1,080 ICU beds and 238 beds for heat stroke cases, in addition to 25,000 qualified health practitioners to serve pilgrims.
Furthermore, MOH has prepared medical points on Al-Mashaer Train and Al-Haramain Train, and intensified its efforts in the central area of the Holy Mosque in Makkah, as well as ensuring 180 ambulances and gearing up 16 emergency centers on Jamaraat Bridge facility in Mina.
