MOH: ‘12 New Corona Cases Recorded in the Kingdom’s Regions’

Within the framework of the constant monitoring and epidemic surveillance of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-Corona Virus (MERS-CoV), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced that 12 new confirmed cases have been recorded, in addition to other five cases of those in contact with the confirmed cases of this virus. This has been declared after the National Scientific Committee for Infectious Diseases has reviewed and discussed the results of laboratory tests of the cases.
 
  • The first case is a 45-year-old female resident, working at the health sector in Jeddah. She has already been isolated on suspicion for two weeks, and her samples have proven positive today after being taken and examined many times. Now, she is at the Intensive Care (IC) unit, receiving the proper treatment.
  • The second case is a 90 year-old male resident in Jeddah. Now, he is at the IC unit, receiving the proper treatment, May Allah grant him speedy recovery
  • The third case is a 52-year-old male citizen in Jeddah. His health status is stable.
  • The fourth case is a 60-year-old male citizen in Jeddah. His health status is stable.
  • The fifth case is a 42-year-old male citizen in Jeddah, who has not developed any symptoms.
  • The sixth case is a 24-year-old male citizen in Jeddah, who is in contact with a confirmed case, even though he doesn't have any symptoms.
  • The seventh case is a 17-year-old female citizen in Jeddah, who is in contact with a confirmed case, but she hasn’t developed any symptoms.
  • The eighth case is a 61 year-old male citizen in Riyadh, who has been suffering from various chronic diseases. His health status is stable.
  • The ninth case is for an 81-year-old male citizen in Riyadh, who has been suffering various chronic diseases. His health status is stable.
  • The tenth case is a 78 year-old male citizen in Riyadh, who has been suffering various chronic diseases; may Allah grant him speedy recovery.
  • The tenth case is a 79 year-old female citizen in Riyadh, who has been suffering from various chronic diseases.Now, she is at the IC unit, receiving the proper treatment, May Allah grant him speedy recovery.
  • The twelfth case is for a 89 year-old female citizen in Riyadh, who has been suffering various chronic diseases. Now, she is at the IC unit, receiving the proper treatment, may Allah grant him speedy recovery.
  • The thirteenth case is a 73 year-old male citizen in Riyadh, who had been suffering various chronic diseases. He passed away, may Allah have mercy upon him.
  • The fourteenth case is a 41-year-old male resident in Tabuk. Now, she is at the IC unit, receiving the proper treatment, may Allah grant him speedy recovery.
  • The fifteenth case is an 18-year-old male citizen in Madinah, who is in contact with a confirmed case, but hasn’t developed any symptoms.
  • The sixteenth case is a 25-year-old female citizen in Madinah, who is in contact with a confirmed case, but hasn’t developed any symptoms.
  • The seventeenth case is an 11-year-old male citizen in Madinah, who is in contact with a confirmed case, but hasn’t developed any symptoms.
  • Within the same vein, MOH has announced the death of a 54-year-old case in Jeddah, who had been previously announced to be infected with this virus, May Allah have mercy upon him.
