MOH: ‘Six New Cases of Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) Recorded in Jeddah’

​Within the framework of the constant monitoring and epidemic surveillance of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced that six new cases have been recorded in Jeddah.
 
  • The first case is for a 54-year-old Saudi male. He is now at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) receiving  the proper treatment, may Allah grant him speedy recovery.
  • The second case is a Saudi male, aged 52 years old. He passed away, May Allah have mercy upon him.
  • The third case is a 41-year-old male resident. Now, his health status is stable.
  • The fourth case is a 54- year-old male resident. Now, his health status is stable.
  • The fifth case is a 28-year-old male citizen, working at the health sector. Now, his health status is stable.
  • The sixth case is a 23-year-old male resident, working at the health sector. Now, his health status is stable.
 
It is worth mentioning that 200 samples have been examined during the past period. All were negative except for those mentioned above.
