MOH: ‘Five New Cases of Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) Recorded in Jeddah’

Within the framework of the constant monitoring and epidemic surveillance of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome - Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced that five new cases have been recorded in Jeddah.
The first case is for a 70-year-old male resident. He passed away, May Allah have mercy upon him. The second case is for a male citizen, aged 51 years old. He is now in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) receiving treatment, may Allah cure him. The third case is for a 28-year-old health practitioner female citizen, who does not suffer from any symptoms.
The fourth case is for a 45-year-old female resident working at the health sector. She does not suffer from any symptoms. The fifth case is for a 56-year-old male resident. His health status is stable. It is worth mentioning that 190 samples have been examined during the past period. All were negative except for those mentioned above.
