Dietary Guidelines for Saudis
The Ministry of Health (MOH) has recently issued the Dietary Guidelines for Saudis, symbolically dubbed: “Healthy Food Palm”. These guidelines are meant to raise citizens' awareness of what to eat, in terms of both the kind and quantity of food, as well as their daily requirements and proportions of nutrients, alongside keeping to a regular persistent exercise (for all age groups), thus helping diminish the risk of nutrition-associated diseases and complications, such as: obesity and over-weight diseases, diabetes, hypertension, anemia, vitamin deficiency, and so forth.

These guidelines are intended, also, to make optimum use of the essential foods, rich with useful nutrients, such as: proteins, vitamins, minerals and fiber. That's to be added to discouraging people from depending on fast foods, soft (carbonated drinks), as well as sugary, salty and fatty foods. Reforming the nutritional behavior is not to be overlooked as well.
