MOH: ‘Three Medical Centers Allocated for Coronavirus in Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Region’

His Excellency the Acting Minister of Health, Eng. Adel bin Mohamed Faqih, has announced today that the Ministry of Health (MOH) has allocated three specialized medical centers in Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Region, for combating Coronavirus all over the Kingdom. Eng. Faqih went on adding that these centers come as part of the MOH’s urgent plan to control the current situation concerning the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus (MERS-CoV).
 
Within the same vein, Eng. Faqih has highlighted that King Abdullah Medical Complex in Jeddah, for being equipped with the medical capabilities and modern equipment, will be the main center for Coronavirus; that is to be added to Prince Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz Hospital in Riyadh, and Dammam Medical Complex in the Eastern Region.
 
“This action comes as part of the Ministry’s urgent plan, meant to control the outbreak of the virus, which will be followed, Allah willing, by other preventive and curative medical procedures,” announced Eng. Faqih, highlighting “These centers will play an effective role in our plan to control the Coronavirus. Besides, the Ministry is reviewing all possible options; in an endeavor to face this challenge endangering the public health.”
 
It is worth mentioning that these anti-Coronavirus medical complexes include 146 beds for the IC unit. Furthermore, all these complexes are equipped with isolation rooms, as well as the latest necessary medical equipment and laboratories, in addition to the outpatient clinics. Over and above, other medical centers specialized for corona in the Kingdom’s regions will be inaugurated afterwards.
