MOH Holds Interviews with Consultants of Infectious Diseases

Under the theme “Scientific Facts on Coronavirus”, the Ministry of Health (MOH) is to hold interviews, in an interactive program, a constellation of consultant physicians and experts specialized in infectious diseases and infection control from all health sectors and universities, with the aim of pointing out the scientific facts on the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-Corona Virus (MERS-Corona), and providing apt answers to all the questions and queries regarding the symptoms of infection, way of transmission, what to do when suspecting a case, how to protect ourselves from infection, and what is so important to know about the disease, as well as other diseases.
 
This comes within the framework of the interactive health-awareness activities organized by the National Center for Media and Health Awareness to provide apt answers to the questions and queries put forth by citizens and residents via the center's toll free number: 8002494444, as well as the MOH's Twitter account: @saudimoh.
 
The Head of the MOH National Center for Media and Health Awareness, Ph. Amal bent Muawya Abul-Jadayel, mentioned that the center, on the first day, held an interview with Dr. Majed Haleem, a consultant of infectious diseases, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Dr. Ahmed al-Haqawi, a consultant of infectious diseases, from 1 to 3 p.m.
 
Tomorrow, Wednesday, the center is interviewing Dr. Sami al-Hajjar, a consultant of infectious diseases, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Dr. Mohamed Hemdan al-Zahrani, a consultant of infectious diseases, from 1 to 3 p.m. On Thursday, the center will be holding an interview with Dr. Abdullah Assirir, the Assistant Deputy Minister for Preventive Health, from 1 to 3 p.m.
 
At the outset of the second week, the National Center for Media and Health Awareness, at the Ministry of Health, will be interviewing, on Sunday, 27/4/2014, Dr. A'eshah al-Shemari, a consultant of infectious diseases and pediatrics, and head of the National Extended Immunization Program, from 1 to 3 p.m., corresponding with the World Immunization Week, to be celebrated under the theme: “Are you up-to-date?”
 
On Monday, the center will host Dr. Abdullah al-Huqail, a consultant of infectious diseases, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Dr. Mohamed al-Zahrani, a consultant of victor-borne diseases, and supervisor-general of the Victors Department at the Public Health Agency, from 1 to 3 p.m., corresponding with the World Malaria Day, to be celebrated under the theme: “Invest in the future.. defeat malaria”. Moreover, the center will be holding an interview with Dr. Mohamed al-Shahri, a consultant of infectious diseases, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and another interview in the afternoon with Dr. Nisreen al-Sherbini, a consultant of infectious diseases and fevers, from 1 to 3 p.m.
 
The interactive program at the National Center for Media and Health Awareness will come to an end on Wednesday, 30/4/2014, with an interview with Dr. Suleiman al-Shahri, a consultant of pediatrics and public health, and director general of school health at the Ministry of Education, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and another interview in the afternoon with Dr. Deif-Allah al-Nakhli, a consultant of infectious diseases from 1 to 3 p.m.
